TWELVE BAGS OF WORRY
Whoa! Watch your smile sir
Sunday, November 11, 2012
Song for you...
As those innocent eyes gleam.
Oh girlie, won't you tell me
What that wicked smile means?
You hide behind perfection
Alas! For how long?
All rules will be forgotten
When you hear your favourite song!
You move like a dream,
Give your all, or none...
And when it's dark and cold
You shine brighter than the sun.
Like two lucid notes
From the same melody,
Friend, room-mate, soul sister...
I rejoice in our familiarity.
You are the voice in my head
a gentle reminder of who I've become.
I am you, you are me
And we are one!

A perfect way to bid good-bye
To the very end.
I sit here and wonder
Why did it all begin?
Can I wrap those days
In a final embrace?
Will I move on just fine
Or stay in this haze?
Will you kiss me till
It hurts no more?
Will you sing that song
Till I hear no more?
Will silence be my reward,
Or words your weapon?
will tears drown this sorrow,
Or a night soon forgotten...
A bit long or too short,
With a smile or a sigh-
Tell me, is there really
A perfect way to bid good-bye?

Delicate
What’s the story?
Between you and me.
No past to reminisce.
No future to behold.
Then what glory
Will today unfold?
Hopeless hope.
Desires wait.
Our love?
Delicate!

My mamma was wrinkled
With light grey eyes
Her touch so gentle
And aura so wise
Coming back from school
Holding her hand
She asked to me prefix
Mamma with grand!
Copying her writing and habits
And sharing the same plate,
My office going mamma I loved,
But my grandmamma was just great
Soon on the road to perfection
Mercilessly I was moulded
Till I became independent
This child quietly emulated
After many years of prayers
To the good God above
She loosened her grip
And overflowed her love
I prided her workmanship
Flaunted being her granddaughter
Yet one fine day
I was greeted as 'stranger'
My wardrobe exploded
These curls grew longer
Buddies and Friends multiplied
But our time got shorter
I am now young
Grandma is getting older
I see age catching up
And remember how great we were
Life full of fun and joy
Times of learning and love i see
Days were bright and sunny
When it was Grand mamma and me!

Dreams are real
Rules are broken
Past is blurred. Future uncertain.
Who am I?
Presently unwritten
Shining eyes. Yours or mine
Reflections lie
there's truth in signs
Dried smiles. Flooded eyes
Drought of time
Drowned in silent tides
Shadows lurk. Promises forgotten
Eternal rain
Hope's forsaken
Missing pieces. Incompleteness
Warmth of love
Thwarting loneliness
Starry nights. Days of gold.
Memories' embrace
I am not alone!

voices in the head
As I aimlessly wander
If there’s anyone I’d met
Who had as a soul mate
Just the voices in their head
I look at you from afar
Like a child stares at the star
An angel you could be
So beautiful you seem to me
And the voices in my head
Soon the sun rises beyond the shore
Slowly, I see you no more
Don’t know if I end or begin to dream
As bright darkness blinds me
But nothing stops the voices in my head
Many faces. Even more voices.
Almost all I recognise.
But all so willingly allow me
To disappear in this abyss
With the voices in my head

farewell
drown, in forgetfulness, lovers' history
the beginning of something new
one word to make Us - me and you
one word bigger than many
than all the love, the kisses and honey
finally one drop defeats the mighty sea
what joy brings this heartless victory?
my hand's bejeweled with the promise of love
white dreams still shower from above
i still hear the music you made for me
around my neck lies my dearest memory
all that you are to me
how can i forget so easily?
just one word to mark a final adieu
alas! i don't know how to say farewell to you

You
I look in places I never travelled before
That beautiful place deep within the soul
Even there, seeking words, I go
Shall I call you my angel?
Who stays with me everywhere I go
And quietly watches everything I do
Even when I do not know
Or are you my knight?
Strong and tall standing beside me
Fighting every battle in silence
Not letting the storm bother me
My sweet lover! My heart calls thee
Showing me how to humbly give
Many sagas I’ve heard of lovers dying
But your love teaches me how to live
A mystical elf, is that you?
So serene, silencing every fear
So beautiful I can’t stop looking
There’s magic when you are near
How can I put in words
What all you mean to me?
What name does one give
When they become your Everything!

Tears...
Strung together to make a symphony
My tears would sing a love song
Though drenched in dry melancholy
If these crystals danced and twirled
Hopelessly upon my cold cheek
Up on their toes, as Gisele, they would
Perform till my eyes go bleak
If these droplets were pearls
Part of a silent rosary
Every prayer to God would be for you
Till these oysters became weary
If a kaleidoscope of colours they were
Painting a wish, a thought, a reverie
My muse would just be memories.
Times now lost in history!
If these were scattered letters,
Speaking the language of my heart,
Every syllable. every unspoken word.
Would recite the aching saga of being apart
No dream, no dance, no sound,
Not even a prayer painted by me.
A transparent feeling, moist yet arid,
Every tear is a reminder that I need thee!

i dance...
joy is a long lost friend
dreams. i have none. for i don't sleep
so lost... i trampled on the heart of love.

Dreamworld
And some tag them as fairytales
A land where dreams are reality
And happy endings… a new beginning
Desires are overrated
Emotion, no more underrated
This magic never leaves you alone
Love is everything, but underestimated
Enter the gates of passion
Where wishes run wilder than stallions
Angels walk with you, elves serenade you
And each moment seems like millions
Woven with a silver thread
Careful! They are fragile
Come dream a sweet dream with me
Just for a little while

The Kiss of Dawn
You left that silken touch
Like the kiss of dawn upon the skies
Like a song I love very much
Oh! Hold me again in those arms
Let me feel alive like the sun
From the eerie darkness within
The kiss of dawn has won
Let me soar high with you
Feel the wind under my wings
And to the kiss of dawn we fly
Like the birds that dance and sing
How wonderfully different this feeling is
How complete this love seems
Like upon the blushing blue sky
The kiss of dawn gleams
Long after the sun has set
And the moon and stars are gone
You stay with me in my heart
And return with the kiss of dawn

I'll Be There
When the world turns its back
And nothing seems to go right
When you feel weary and tired
And need to be hugged tight
I’ll be there
When you’re as happy as could be
And feel you can touch the sky
Or when you think you’ve lost
And need a shoulder to cry
I’ll be there
When you’re feeling lonely
And your smile seems to fade away
When you need someone who cares
To make beautiful your day
I’ll be there
When you need a heart to love,
A ear to listen and a hand to hold
Don’t hesitate to look by your side
Coz I’ve already told…
I’ll always be there!
ode to who?
So for him I write these lines
Last night, who came in my dreams.
For his love’s sake, this world itself I’d forsake,
And awaken in a land where desires have wings.
Can’t believe that isn’t a choice anymore
So for jest I pen down these mysterious thoughts
Famous ol’ Poe did it too, a long, long time ago.
In secret, yet right before thine eyes, lies
That treasure by which he’s known to the world
Oh can you figure the three words so dear to me?
That are found, nestled beautifully, at the end of a prayer too.
I am beginning to blush seeing half of it here, already!
Exceedingly childish that may seem to many…
Ain’t luv quite a crazy little thing, honey?
Look closer dear; he hides between the lines.
From naught you’d have to ascend to find
The three immortal words that are my light of happiness
Alas! Though like a jewel each letter sparkles before thee
You’d neither understand this love, nor this riddle… let it be.
